{Spotlight Project} Monika Shares Last-Minute Stocking Fillers!

Hi, everyone! Today I'm focusing on some last-minute gifts to brighten up everyone's day. I used stamps from Sugar Rush, our current stamp club set, for a non-calorific daily pick-me-up.

The colours from the paper I used have a slight retro feel about them, similar to the 'Sunday, Sunday' song I kept hearing in my mind when I was working on these :) You should be able to get the little calendar tabs in any stationary shop, I found mine in a pound shop; here's me hoping that there will be something similar where you live, like a dollar or euro shop.

To make this calendar:
  • Stamp, colour, and fussy cut your chosen Sugar Rush image. Partially stamp image on the calendar tab.
  • Score an A5 size piece of cardstock along the 21 cm edge at 9 cm, 18 cm, 19 cm and 20 cm. Attach a piece of matching designer paper, add doily or similar shape, add die cut circle, add a strip of washi tape.
  • Attach the calendar tab to a piece of cardstock and add slightly overlapping the circle, stamp and emboss the 'sundae' sentiment, stamp the 'Mmmm' on a strip of paper and attach overlapping the washi, add the fuzzy cut ice cream
  • Finish off with some sequin sprinkles and allow to dry before folding and gluing together.
The design is like a tent fold card with a concertina bit at the base for added stability.

As always there is a craft along video:

...plus a couple of more pictures for inspiration one with a slightly different colour combination:

...and the other one using a slightly different layout and ice cream image:

Well, that's it from me for today. You can check out the stamp club and all the benefits open to members here.

Wishing you all a Happy Christmas!
