{Mixed Media Tutorial} Fun with Distress Oxides by Amy

Good afternoon everyone, Amy here, with a couple tags using ARTplorations Stencil and Distress Oxide Inks.

I started by applying some Distress Oxide Inks onto a non-stick craft sheet and spritzing with water. Take your Watercolor panel sheet and smoosh thru/dab into the ink colors. Dry in between color layers.

Keep applying colors and layers until you are satisfied with the background.I then splattered the oxides onto my panel with fan brush. Let dry completely.

Use the Manila Tags second largest die to cut out two tags from your panel. Apply Black Soot Distress Oxide thru the Forest of Leaves Stencil.

Cut two pieces of 2x2 white cardstock and two pieces of black cardstock cut at 2.25'x2.25'. Stamp the floral image from the Lotus Love stamp set onto the white cardstock with Jet Black Archival Ink.

Stamp sentiments from Trendy Feathers 2 stamp set using Distress Oxides to bring in color from the background. Adhere your panels onto your tags and embellish with Washi Tape.

Cut  2 more tags using the largest of the Manila Tags
from black cardstock and adhere to your smaller tag. Add enamel dots matching the Distress Oxide colors from sentiment onto your image panel and finish the tag with ribbon, twine and button.
