{Spotlight Project} Cornelia Does Some Graduated Sponging

Hi! Cornelia here today doing some graduated sponging. I love those flowers - this time I used the dogwood from the August stamp club set - Floral Bliss. but since I am not so good at coloring, I have to come up with other options...

Here is how I made it:

Sponged distress inks on white card stock, leaving a light strip in the upper third.

Started stamping the dogwood flower and masked it off.

Added the sentiment and an additional flower on the right for balance.

Decided that a stitched border would be nice.... and mounted that panel on fun foam.

I kind of liked it, but something was missing.... so I added white accents with a white Sharpie and a bit of brown pencil to the stems.

Now isn't that wonderful? Really easy even without coloring skills. See you in two weeks!

  19. Was visiting Annie, and saw that your gorgeous card had inspired her own card. She kindly provided the link, so popped over to see this beauty. Love the color choices, and the spot of non-color in the lighter strip, really creates such a wonderful glow. I will be CASE-ing this one too, and the dogwood image is a perfect stamp on this design. Also liked the highlights you've added to make it sparkle. TFS
