{Spotlight Project} Maria Uses Up Stash To Color An Image

Hello there STAMP friends!  Welcome to another Spotlight tutorial using the Stamp Club stamp, Bloomful. Maybe you saw my last Spotlight where I had a go at rainbow-ing it. Today I've taken a completely different approach. No coloring necessary. And you get to use up your stash - how great is that ;) Here's my card.

Actually, before we get started here's what I do the first time I use a new stamp set...
STEP 1
Keeping all the stamps on the acrylic sheet, ink them up.

STEP 2
I take the cover sheet and lay it down over the inked stamps and rub all over to get the images transferred onto the cover sheet.

STEP 3
The result is a control sheet where I can see all the images in real size and where to place them all on the acrylic sheet so that they fit!

 Then when I'm done using a few stamps from the set, I put them onto their "spot" on this sheet and take the acrylic sheet that the stamps I didn't use are still on and place it over this.This allows me to pick up the stamps I'd used in their correct spot on the acrylic sheet and also easily see if any have gone missing ;) So now, onto my project ....

STEP 1

Gathered my supplies - MISTI, Versamark ink, Bloomful stamp set, gold embossing powder, a previously created alcohol ink BG and a green cardbase that I later switched out for kraft!

STEP 2

Played around a bit moving the stamp to line up with some of the colored dots on the BG in a way I found pleasing. Notice how the center of that one bottom daisy lines up with the one yellow dot on the BG. I was also trying to save half of this BG (cuz I'm cheap like that) so I chose the spot I liked best within the bottom half of the BG.

STEP 3

Stamped and heat embossed the image in gold.

STEP 4

Fussy cut the image.

STEP 5

Heat embossed the image directly onto the right edge of my cardbase.

STEP 6

Notice how I did not cut around that last little bit of the top and bottom edge of the image. I wanted to leave some wiggle room when adhering the cut piece to the left edge of the cardbase. I adhered it and then trimmed off the excess so the edge was nice and flush.

Here's the final card again. I added a heat embossed image onto a banner strip and voila!
