{Spotlight Project} Father's Day Cards With Deepti

Hello friends! Deepti here and welcome to my Spotlight feature. Today I am making Cards with Father's day on my mind. I wanted to get a heads up on these cards. I had that moment when a cool idea clicked my head for a fun way to create sun burst without using a stencil. I am not sure if anyone has used this before, 'coz so far I haven't come across anyone sharing it. Nonetheless, I am kinda happy with me :)

So I created a couple of cards, let me show you...

Step 1 - Here is trick to make sun burst... I took a transparency/ acetate sheet of the size near or around the size of an A2 card panel and simply cut out a "V" leaving a stencil like gap that will serve as my sun burst. I also cut 3 different widths of the same.

Step 2 - I then used a combination of inks to make my sunburst for two cards. I held the acetate sheet over the white panel, making one point as the center and I inked the sunburst

Step 3 - I then decided to use two focal images and stamped them in black ink. For one of the panels I decided to add the focal image with some dimension

To finish, I stamped the sentiment and added some splatter . Here are the cards one more time...

I have used  Sweet and Sassy Dad

That finishes my spotlight feature :) I hope you enjoyed it and will give this a try. Happy paper crafting!
