In today's post, guest designer Olivia Rivera-Marmara, shares mixed media cards featuring one stencil.

Hello Everyone. It's Olivia back again for another Stencil Sunday. Instead of art journaling this time, I am bringing you some mixed media style cards I created all using the same stencil, Shower of Flutters.

All of the backgrounds were created using my Gel Plate with Distress inks.

On the first card I did some stamping after and then used the clear sentiments and the Mixed Media Elements Stamp set. Then I came back with some splatters on the card.

Can I tell you how I in love I am with this background. Often when I use my Gel Plate, I just go for it so I did not write down what combo this one is but I LOVE it. I wish I had. So after I followed the same pattern as above, I decided to jazz it up with some Nuvo drops and white gel pen around the butterflies so that could stand out more. I inked the edges with Walnut and again I could not resist the splatters.

Finally I finished off one in blue colors. This combo came out great too. The slight difference is that I splatter water on this one so you can see the water effect on it. I again stamped with the Mixed Media Elements stamp and used the sentiment from Say It Big: Soar. Again I added Nuvo drops as well around the butterflies.

I hope you guys enjoyed these cards. I loved see how many different looks I could get with the Shower of Flutters stencil
