{Spotlight Project} Watercolour Vellum Flowers With Monika

Hi STAMPlorations Friends! Embossed and watercoloured vellum makes for very delicate flowers you can use in your projects. Here are a couple of cards I made.

I couldn't make up my mind which embossing powder to use. I ended up using white and metallic gunmetal to see how different they might look.

The vellum I had is quite light and embossing it was a bit tricky, a heavier weight would have been less fly away and would have worked better.

The blooms were watercoloured on the reverse side. I didn't mind the vellum crinkling a bit, it would make for some nice texture. Simply try and keep your brush as dry as possible.

Next I prepared a couple of panels with the Circles All Over Texture Cover Plate die, some sprayed colours and attached them to my base cards before arranging and adhering the flowers. This was done with tiny amounts of glue hidden by the embossing in the center of the blooms and at the edge of the leaves, using a fine tip applicator. They weren't fully adhered, just enough to hold them in place while still keeping the texture.

I finished off with some bling and layered die-cut sentiments.

These are the products I used from the STAMPlorations Shop to make my cards.

That's it from me for today. Wishing you a lovely week.
