Welcome to the STAMPlorations™ blog! This is where we run a never-ending anything goes challenge, spotlight projects by the design team, publish tutorials, host fun blog hops, and announce new products. Our goal: encourage you to "stamp with all your ART!" through our hops, inspiration projects, and products.
Hey there, fellow creatives! We've got a new edition of Stencil Sunday, a weekly feature brought to you by the STAMPlorations girls in the Mixed Media design team. Every Sunday, they share their mixed media projects showcasing ARTplorationsstencils and STAMPlorations stamps. Today, Irit and Lee-Anne are sharing their mixed media projects. You'll find more information about their projects by visiting their blogs -- do check them out!
Hey, STAMPlorations friends! We are gearing up for another fun ARTplorations stencil blog hop -- our fourth since we began holding it last year.
Not only will you be getting plenty of stencil inspiration from the STAMPlorations girls, you'll also be able to share your stencil projects and get plenty of chances to win one of many prizes up for grabs. So mark your calendar and be sure to be here bright and early on Wednesday, April 13, 7 a.m. Pacific.
And here are 3 mini tutorials featuring ARTplorations stencils and Gelli plate for a little stencil inspiration. They're super short videos (under 90 seconds) I did in March 2015 when we held the very first ARTplorations stencil hop.

So get your stencils ready. We're going to have lots of stencil fun beginning April 13!
Sometimes in life you need to let the colors fly. I was looking around my (mess of a) craft room the other day and spotted my much neglected Distress Paints and decided that I was going to play. I'll take you through the steps of this very messy but very fun card!
Hey there, STAMPlorations friends! We'd like to thank everyone who played in last month's challenge. There were so many gorgeous entries in the gallery. You'll find the winner and top picks here.
Now let's get the April Challenge started! Our CAS Card Challenge is pretty simple: it's straightforward anything CAS goes with the optional color twist. Create a clean and simple card with or without the color we've picked to include. And for April, spring green is the optional color twist. (You can use other colors with green.)
Hi, everyone. Shirley Bampton made a few cards with black gesso and thanks to her I now own a big bottle for quite a while.....she is such an enabler.... Anyhow, I figured, before it all dries out I should use it. So here we go - my first black gesso card.
Welcome to another edition of Stencil Sunday with the STAMPlorations girls in the Mixed Media design team And because it's the first Sunday of the month, it's also time for a new Mixed Media Challenge!
Thank you to everyone who linked up to the March Mixed Media Challenge! The winner and top picks will be announced at 12 noon Pacific time today. Let's start off with the girls' awe-mazing mixed media projects!
Hey there, STAMPlorations friends! It's a new month, which means a new challenge here on the blog! But first, we'd like to thank everyone who linked up their beautiful creations last month. There were many gorgeous textures creations, as well as projects that were based on the sketch. We will announce the March winner and top picks on April 6.
Now onto this month's challenge. We'd love for you to create and link up your projects based on this month's theme, sketch, or both -- you've got the whole month of April to play :o)
For April, our theme is STAMPS & SPLATTERS. Is that an invitation to get messy or what? ;o)
And here's our fun sketch to get inspired by as well:
We've got prizes for the winner and top picks as voted by the design team. See them here.
Have you been fooled already today? Happy 1st of April! Get outta town. What'd they do with March? Winter? Spring? My corner of Germany still doesn't know, but oh well. Nothing I can do about it. How about I show you a clean and colorful card for your CASEing pleasure this month?
Have you noticed feathers trending lately? Cards. T-shirts. Linens. Everywhere. Well I've chosen one of my favorite feather cards of all time and it comes to you today from Hawaii. Aloha.
It's from the incredibly talented wahine, Donna Mikasa of three umbrellasfame. You probably know Donna from the CASe this Sketch challenge or the My Favorite Things design team. She can color. And she rocks die cuts. But the Donna creations I love the most are those featuring Distress Inks, whether as a background or for coloring. Donna rocks those colors! And her designs are always perfectly balanced, just like in today's card. Mahalo for joining us this month, Donna!
