Today I am showing a fun way to brayer. Here is the finished card:
While my card layout does rather cover the brayered background, I do have steps to show you what is going on.
Start with a glossy card stock, brayer, stamp [I used SKETCHED: Simple Gift], 3 colors of ink (light medium and dark), and some masks. Oh yeah, Versamark too.
Start by random stamping the image using Versamark and emboss with clear embossing powder.
Starting with the lightest color, brayer over the entire panel. Lay down the larger masks, and brayer the medium ink all over the panel.
Lastly, lay down the smaller dots, overlapping on the edges of the bigger masks, and brayer the dark color all over the panel.
Here is the end result:
Now, just find a sketch, or make a sketch and finish off your card.
While I used the SKETCHED: Simple Gift for my background stamping, I also stamped, colored, and cut out two additional gifts, and then used the gift image from Joyful for the front focal gift. I do love the way these sets work so well together!
I hope you try the triple brayering effect -- there is a ton of potential using this technique.
See you in a couple of weeks!
