Hi, I am back today with a tutorial for the STAMPlorations Sugar Rush set. I really like those delicious looking macaroons...
I started by embossing the macaroons on white card stock using Versamark ink.
I colored them with Copics and I also stamped the top macaroon again on a little piece of scrap paper (no photo)
I chose patterned paper from my enormously big supplies (although I almost never use it...) and fussy cut and trimmed the side of the card stock along the macaroons.
I also added distress Stickles to the macaroons (you can see it better on the photo above on the right). I did not want any glitter here; the distress Stickles are much more subtle. I added the extra macaroon on foam tape and a chocolate colored string with tiny gold beads. Hmmm, still looks a bit bland.....and what do you do then? Well, I always add something - glitter, sequins or splatters...
I settled for splatters, so I had to remove the extra macaroon and made a mask for the others - did not want any splatters on them...
Now I am happy! Hope you liked this and have a great day!

So cute, Cornelia!
ReplyDeleteOh my, Cornelia, your card is pure, yummy, delicious fun! I must have been channeling you, because I tried out my macarons just yesterday, and practiced colouring with my new Chameleon pens. Your card is far more glamourous than mine, of course! Such a fun set Sugar Rush is - and the craving for sweets that ensues is fun, too *grin*
