Hi, guys! Today I'm sharing a mixed media triptych. I used 3 monoprint panels (A2 size) that have been in my stash for the longest time and have been needing to be used.
I started with 3 monoprint panels (A2 size or 4 1/4" by 5 1/2") from my stash. I made these back in March using my Gelli plate, acrylic paints, and the ARTplorations Honeycomb Delight stencil.
Here's the super short video (1 minute, 30 seconds) showing how I pulled the prints:
I applied gesso on the panels and then when it was dry, I sponged white paint (white linen Dylusions acrylic paint).
Next, I used Dylusions acrylic paints (black marble, postbox red, lemon zest, and squeezed orange) to stamp on the panels. I used stamps from Trendy Birds and Follow Your Arrow.
I also added faux texture with stamps from the Mixed Media Grunge...
...and added splatters with Koi watercolor.
Here's a closer look at each of the panels. I added shadow on "follow your" with a black gel pen.
I haven't decided yet if I'd use these panels for cards or frame them to hang in my home office, but I'm sure glad I got rid of some of my stash and it didn't take me a long time to make these :o)
I hope you enjoyed my tutorial and if you decide to do a triptych, do share!
