Hello, everyone! I've got another one layer mixed media card to share. I played with modeling paste, Inktense pencils, Gelatos, and Dylusions acrylic paint with a couple stamp club sets. I tried to keep it CAS, but in the end I still couldn't resist adding splatters ;-) Here's the card:
I started by creating a wonky frame on my card base. I did this with several post-its. To create ragged edges, I tore masking tape.
Next, I applied a liberal amount of modeling paste, stamped the rose from Blossom Overture while the paste was still wet, and then dried the whole thing with the heat gun.
After removing the masking tape and post-it notes, I colored the rose with Inktense pencils and blended the colors with a waterbrush.
Then I sponged black Dylusions paint over the same rose stamp and stamped over the impression.
I scribbled a couple of Gelatos (lemon and gold champagne) and again used a waterbrush to blend the colors.
I always gotta have some faux grungy textures so I stamped a couple of those from the Mixed Media Grunge set in black Ranger archival ink.
I finished the card by stamping the sentiment and the grungy/distressed chevrons. Oh, and I also added splatters by flicking my waterbrush against a couple of Inktense pencils and doing so created tiny splatters.
I hope you enjoyed my tutorial. See you in a couple of weeks!
