{Spotlight Project} Monika Makes a Gift Card Holder

Hi All, it's Monika back with another Spotlight Feature for you. Today I'm sharing a little vellum gift card holder which could also be used as a little treat or gift bag. I was working with the following sets: Vignette Christmas BlockSentiment Builders Christmas & New Year and Holiday Sketches Christmas Flower.

Here is how I put it together:

To start, spritz an A5 piece of vellum with golden spritzing ink. Once dry create your pocket according to the instructions in this short video. I used double sided tape to assemble my pocket.

TIP!: If you don't own a flower punch board, you can still make a similar pocket using a scoring board and tool plus a template which I am happy to email you on request.

Decorate your assembled bag using the sentiment block from the Vignette Christmas Block set and Sepia Archival ink. Create a little tag from your off-cuts and stamp with 'glad tidings' from the SB Christmas & New Year set using Sepia Archival ink.

On a plain piece of vellum, emboss the poinsettia from the Christmas Flower set using Primary Apple Red Ultra High WOW powder. This powder, as compared to WOW's regular or super fine, is quite coarse and once melted makes your image look as if it had been drizzled in melted caramel.

Once cooled, fuzzy cut the poinsettia, cut a length of ribbon and layer you elements as seen in the finished project. The flap on the reverse can be sealed with double sided tape or glue dots. As you can see I haven't quite made up my mind what to put inside.

A last look again at the finished project:

That's it from me for today.
Have a lovely day!
Hugs
