February 29 has a personal significance for me. For one, it was on February 29, 2004 that hubby proposed; 82 days later, we were being ball-and-chained to each other! And for another...fast forward to 12 years later, we've got a baby and she is 6 months old today :o)

And so this sale. Select stamps and all ARTplorations stencils in the shop are 29% 35% off (extra 6% for my little one's 6th month birthday). {Spotlight Project} Maria Combines Watercolor and Grawlix

A little background to the post title...

When Country Rustic came out and I saw the outhouse, (mind you, I grew up using one for years while my Dad built our summer home) a baby bib came to mind which I had gifted BFF when she had her first child. It was pink and cute. And had "spit happens" embroidered on it ;) I probably bought it cuz it brought to mind another phrase that I've been known to use ;) But I wasn't sure that I could really use that phrase on a card. Nah.

So then along comes Sketchy Alphabet with all its extra punctuation marks and bingo! Enter Grawlix... and "%#?! Happens"

Aloha, friends! Today, I'm going to do something that will come as no surprise to those who have seen my past projects on STAMPlorations - I'm going to get a little snarky!

My cousin/best friend/pretty-much-sister is turning the big three-oh on Friday and I knew I wanted to make something that pokes a little bit of fun at her impending old age. *snicker.

Really, I just know that when I turn 30 in July, she's definitely going to get snarky with me - so this is a preemptive strike.

I've been having so much fun thinking through all the fun custom sentiments I can make with the new Sketchy Alphabets set and today I'm going to show you how to keep the letters in line in an easy  peasy way.

We visited a lovely tea room last week, vintage-themed, but fresh and funky at the same time. It inspired me to make a set of tea room styled cards.
