Welcome to the month of February friends! What comes to mind when you think "February"? Well, probably Valentine's Day for one thing. "LOVE" That's the direction we're taking at CASEplorations this month.
To remind you, we have tweaked the challenge a little bit. We're sharing one amazing card from blogland to CASE each month. We'll still be sharing our CASEs with you on the first of the month. We are asking you to join us by CASEing that one amazing card and hooking your project(s) up in the CASEplorations gallery by the end of the month. Easy peasy. We've got a new challenge graphic for you to share in your blog posts and we'll even give you a reminder mid-month ;)
We've tweaked the prizes too. The team will vote for a winner to receive a $15 gift certificate to the STAMPlorations store OR a 3x5 stamp set. Two runners up will receive a $5 gift certificate. Are you ready to play?
After last month's get-your-fingers-messy embossing paste card to CASE, I am delighted to share a delicious mix of CAS and dreamy inking for this month's card to CASE. Please welcome one of blogland's favorite CAS designers and an avid supporter of various challenges. Someone who has a fabulous knack for color on her lovely linen cardstock... know who I mean? Bonjour, Anita in France!

If you haven't already, you must visit Anita's blog, My Papercraft World. Not only will you find one crisp and clean creation after another, you can also keep up on her design work for Timeout Challenge and see her performances as guest designer on numerous blogs. Whether wielding Distress Inks or dies, her cards are always perfectly executed. Now check out how Anita CASEd herself in this card.
Gradient hearts, horizontally this time. Die cut (or punched) negatives. A little platinum and a lotta love! Gorgeous, isn't it, with all that white space?
I've got another card of Anita's to share with you in the mid-month reminder post too! For now, and before we get on to the DT CASEs, I've got a treat for you. Want to know how Anita gives her cards that extra special something?
I asked Anita:
If you were marooned on a desert island, which supplies would you want to have with you?
"Wink of Stella/Glossy Accents … a combined choice as I use them so often together … they add such shimmer, shine and dimension … so much extra impact for so little extra effort!
Distress Inks … their versatility is amazing … stamping, stencilling, sponging, splattering … again, they appear so frequently on my cards.
I bet many of us would concur on the Distress Inks. Can't imagine this hobby without them. Haven't invited the MISTI to live at my house. Yet. But... let's see how the DT CASEd Anita's card, shall we?
Warm colors, gradient stamping, hearts, circles, cascades, die cut negatives... what would you choose to CASE from Anita's love-ly card? We hope to find out in the gallery below. You can read the challenge rules here. The linky is open until the end of the day February 29th. Hope you can join us.
A girl would be crazy not to CASE anything Anita makes! Happy to see this gorgeous number... your designers have produced masterpieces of their very own! [Shirley B. you've read my mind!] xx
