Hi, everyone. Shirley Bampton made a few cards with black gesso and thanks to her I now own a big bottle for quite a while.....she is such an enabler.... Anyhow, I figured, before it all dries out I should use it. So here we go - my first black gesso card.
My stamp supplies:
So, lets get started - watch out, its messy!
I put a blob of black gesso on water color paper and took my brayer.
That little bit was enough for 3 panels. I probably could have gotten a 4th if I really would have wanted to. I let them dry over night.
Stamped the birds with Versamark and heat embossed them.
Colored them and around them with my chalk markers. I did not like the yellow in the birds head, but thanks to the gesso you can just wipe it off with a wet towel.
Added the dots with white pigment ink.
And finished the card with the sentiments (heat embossed). Added Washi tape and stapled the water color panel onto pink card stock. I did not trim the bottom - I wanted the messy look.
Hope you had as much fun with this as I had!
See you in two weeks!
