I've been playing with the Artsy Tribal Doodles stamp club set again. This time, I wanted to make my own tribal patterned paper so that I could die cut some giraffe and elephant shapes using Deepti's Tweet Love dies.
I started off by stamping some of the shapes onto white card. Rather than stamp each image individually, I put four of the shapes onto one acrylic block so that I could fill the sheet quicker.
I can't stamp in a straight line to save my life, but it didn't matter because I was die cutting shapes from it.
Once the sheet was stamped, I filled in some of the gaps with the small dot stamp, then die cut my shapes.
On to the background. I sponged Distress Inks across a panel of white card, splashed with water then stamped the leaves (from Trendy Leaves). I used the new Stitched Snow Hills die to cut a hill from green card, stamped the sentiment (from The Bee's Knees Birds of Paradise), then attached it to my sponged panel.
How clever to use the tribal doodle stamps for the giraffe, such a fun card x
