I've found myself in need of a few sympathy cards lately and decided to create a small stockpile.
Whenever I'm designing sympathy cards, I always wind up with clean lines and a larger sentiment. Something about the pairing of those really translates to the type of feeling needed for a sympathy card.
For this card, I decided to go with the inlaid die technique. I used For the Birds CUTplorations dies to cut both a black base, and a white base.
I embossed a large sentiment using the Noteworthy stamp set and then I set about putting the white birds into my black base, and my black birds into my white base.
I finished off my look by splashing it with some Picket Fence Distress Spray Stain (because ya know... I can't leave things tooooooo clean).
What's great is that with this design, you get two cards for the effort of one! Bah Boom!
I hope this inspired you to try your own two-fer design. If you do, make sure to link it up to the Spotlight Gallery.
