Hi, Cornelia here today, enjoying some yummy cake! Those delicious looking cake slices are from the August/September stamp club set, Sweet Cravings. I have been lusting after them and finally got around to use them!
My stamp supplies:
I stamped and die cut the cake slices using Bristol paper.
Colored slice number one using water brush pens in yellow, green and brown.
Slice number two got pink and purple.
You see how I did this - I added some color to the edge and then drew it out with a regular water brush pen. This gives you a smooth ombre look, without any effort. The Bristol paper does not completely soak up the color very quickly, so if you work fast you can reactivate it.
Added a generous amount of Wink of Stella to those cream puffs.
I thought that a plain white card stock base is a bit bland, so I used this coffee stencil to give it some subtle background texture and ran it through my Big Shot like an embossing folder.
Heat embossed the sentiment on black and arranged everything on the card base. I also added Wink of Stella to the steam. The cake slices got some foam tape for dimension.
I hope you enjoy your cake!
