Hi there,
It's Tanja here and I would like to show you how to create this Scrapbook Page step by step. This lovely little lady is my grandma on her first day of school:
- cover a 12x12 piece of patterned paper with clear gesso
- use the ARTplorations Rows of Hearts stencil, Distress Stain Evergreen Bough and Prima Marketing Color Bloom Spray Tea Stain to add color to the page
- draw a scribbly circle with the Stabilo All Graphite pencil and stamp some butterflies from the STAMPlorations Trendy Butterflies set with Archival Ink Coffee
- add some more texture by stamping the alphabet from the STAMPlorations Scribbly Splattery Grunge set with Archival Ink Garden Patina
- the drips are created with three different Alcohol Inks (Lake Mist, Mushroom, Gold Metallic Mixative)
- add some layers of distressed patterned paper pieces underneath the picture and ink up the edges with Distress Ink Ground Espresso
- stamp the arrows from the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Grunge set and the sentiment from the STAMPlorations Noteworthy 2 set with that same dark brown Distress Ink
I hope you got inspired and don't forget to join us for our Mixed Media Challenge over at the STAMPlorations Blog. The theme is always anything mixed media except a card. You must use at least one stencil (any brand) in your project. The linky closes at the end of the month.
What a beautiful photo and an awesome & lovely layout.
