It's my very first card of the New Year for the STAMPblog! Woooo! I don't know about all of you, but I've made my new year's resolution: which is not to make any stinkin' resolutions. I have simultaneously completed and broken my resolution in the first minute of 2018.
But we're not here to talk about resolutions, we're here to talk about cards! As such, I'm going to show you how I made this easy peasy watercolor card.
I took a sheet of watercolor paper and stamped the paintbrushes from the Life in Full Color set and then used my Dina Wakely Scribble Sticks to add some watercolor pigments.
If you haven't used Scribble Sticks before, I can tell you that they are one of the easiest ways to watercolor. You can add them on dry or wet surfaces (though I feel like they work best added to dry paper) and then just add water. It's super easy to control the flow and concentration of pigmentation.
I added a layer of black and white paper, and then topped it with my watercolored panel.
The sentiment is also from the Life in Full Color set and I added a tiny turquoise embellishment to finish the design.
If this card inspires you to try a new technique or you CASE it, make sure to add it to the Spotlight Gallery so we can all oooo and aaaah over it.
Happy 2018!
love it!
