Hi, Cornelia here today upcycling some commercial cards. I always get a lot of cards from organizations I make donations to and I usually don't throw them out, but use them for various things - mostly to try out a card idea, use them as shims, or whatever. But this time I thought I'd re-purpose them into handmade cards.
So I checked out my large supply and selected 4 different ones - two pretty busy ones and two more subdued ones.
I then selected stencils according to the motive:
Then I used white embossing paste and applied it to the cards with the stencils in place.
Let them dry. Trimmed them and added the sentiments.
Here are my 4 cards separately and you can see for yourself if you like the results.
I think they came out okay. What's your opinion on it?

ReplyDeleteI love the leaves over the bird - something about the beautiful and large bird with all that yellow and then the natural, iconic leaf print pleases my eye.
