Hi there,it's Tanja here and I would like to show you how to create this tag step by step.
If you are interested in the products I used or other STAMPlorations, ARTplorations or CUTplorations products, I have a special treat for you: use the discount code STAMPGIRLTANJA and get 20% off on all stamps, stencils, and dies.
- cut out the largest of the CUTplorations Manila Tags from watercolor paper and cover it with white gesso. Then apply Texture Paste Transparent Gloss through the ARTplorations Floral Flutes stencil and let it dry thoroughly
- add color using watered-down Gelatos (Margarita Mix, Cotton Candy)
- accentuate the edges with the help of the Iced Chai Gelato
- cut out some scallops from old book paper and glue them to the tag and outline them with the black Stabilo All pencil
- add texture by stamping the dictionary text and the dot pattern from the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Grunge set with Archival Ink Black Soot
- prepare a strip of torn corrugated board, a piece of beige sari silk ribbon and leaves and a flower cut from watercolor paper using the CUTplorations Trendy Spring Blooms die set. Color the flower and the leaves with watered-down Gelatos (Pistachio, Green Tea, Grape)
- adhere the elements with hot glue
- thread a piece of off-white torn seam binding through the hole of the tag and add black splatters with watered-down acrylic paint. Finish with a sentiment from the Small Talk Sticker set
I hope you got inspired and don't forget to join us for our Februrary "Paint it Red" Challenge over at the STAMPlorations Blog.
