(Note from Shery: I apologize to all of you who have been anxiously waiting for the December winners post. Things simply kept piling up the last few weeks (re: the latest is a toddler who came down with flu-like symptoms + a newborn who demands 25 hours from me every single day) that I just wasn't able to finish up that particular post. I'll combine the December and January winners in one post. Thank you for being patient and for your understanding!)
And get ready for a whole lot of fabulous new products to be making their debut here in the next three months! But we also want to give you a heads' up that for the next few months things are going to be a bit different here on the blog.
You’ve probably heard that Ms STAMPlorations, Shery Russ, welcomed a daughter named “Winter” to the family in December. In order to give Shery a little time to catch her breath after giving birth and to adjust to daily life with two little ones in addition to running the store, we are going to take a little “Winter” break!
Rather than all of our normal monthly challenges, there will be just one challenge for you to join each month. You'll find it announced here on the 5th of the month. The challenge will have a theme and as long as you follow the theme, any type of project is welcome! Then, we’ll return to our regular programming in May ;)
Our theme for the February challenge is Paint it Red! What's that bring to mind? Hearts? How about coffee/tea and sweets? We'd love to see your creations using the color red or having a theme of love. Take a look at what some of the DT gals created.
(Clustered Heart Die, Sentiment Builders - Love (retired))
(Curly Labels/Tags Nesting Dies, Tags #1 Nesting Dies, A Cuppa Love and Hearts All Over Mini stencil)
(Coffee Petites stamp, Set of 5 love Words die)
(Zen Hearts stencil, Love Word die, Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle die, Trendy Feathers 2)
(Hidden Hearts stencil, Love Word die, Pierced Curly Frames die, Cupcake Builder 2 die)
Challenge rules:
*Create any type of project -- cards (any style), mixed media, tags, layout, etc -- as long as it follows our theme
*STAMPlorations product is not required though we’d love to see it
*Enter as many times as you want – as long as each project has its own blog post
*Display the challenge graphic + link back to the challenge page to qualify for the prizes
*Comment on the entry before yours in the gallery – let's spread the love. (If you're the first player, just comment on the entry after yours.)
*For an extra chance, comment on the challenge post and the designers’ blog posts throughout the month
Prizes:
*TWO (2) winners of a $25 gift certificate - randomly drawn from all entries
*ONE (1) winner of a $25 gift certificate - randomly drawn from all comments left on the designers' blogs throughout the month
Shery is offering a generous 10% off (no coupon code needed) all stamps, stencils, and dies in the store from Feb through April. Retiring products are excluded. We hope you'll find time to play with us and we look forward to seeing your project in the gallery.
