{Mixed Media Tutorial} With Brave Wings Tag by Tanja

Hi there, it's Tanja here and I would like to show you how to create this Mixed Media Tag step by step:

• cut out a tag from watercolor paper using the biggest of the CUTplorations Stitched Tags
• cover the tag with white gesso
• apply Prima Marketing Modeling Paste through the ARTplorations Flower Burst Large stencil and let it dry thoroughly

• add color with Brushos Turquoise and let this layer dry as well

• glue down some strips of torn patterned paper
• apply heavy white gesso to random spots of the tag and over the patterned paper in order to let it blend with the rest of the tag
• grunge up the edges with a black Stabilo All pencil

• add some texture by stamping the script from the Mixed Media Elements stamp set and the sheet music from the Scribbly Splattery Grunge stamp setwith Archival Ink Watering Can

• adhere some birch bark, one of the CUTplorations For the Birds and some thread behind it with hot glue
• dye a piece of torn seam binding with Distress Ink Mermaid Lagoon
• and add a sticker from the Tim Holtz Small Talk Sticker set
