{Spotlight Project} Add Color But Differently with Deepti!

Hello friends! Deepti here and welcome to a spotlight feature. Today again, I am playing with the newest stamp club set Bloom Doodles and for this one I decided to add color to my design a bit differently for a modern and trendy look. Looking at these beautiful images, the obvious choice is to color them but I decided to challenge myself and get creative. I was looking into some distress mini ink cubes to decide for my color scheme, when this idea hit me :) Let me show you...

Step 1

So for this one I took a white panel and used the mini ink cubes as stamp to stamp those solid colors. They don't stamp perfectly solid which is even better as it gives a grungy look. I stamped the first and then I matched the black edge of the cube with the already stamped color square to get the perfect placement.

Step 2

Next I stamped the floral images to build little clusters.

Step 3

Once I was satisfied with how the images were stamped, I usually follow the odd number in stamping, like 3 flowers, 5 leaves etc... I added the sentiment. I took the floral dies and die cut three flowers from the panel

Step 4

I also die cut these from black foam sheet and layered the floral diecuts on them. I then fixed them back on the panel for inlaid look.

For my color scheme, I follow the primary colors... blue pink and yellow. So you can pick any shade of these. They usually work great :)
