Happy Sunday, STAMPlorations friends! We are back again with another helping of Stencil Sunday goodness! On the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sunday of the month, the STAMPgirls are sharing their projects that show off how to creatively use ARTplorations stencils. And each month, we'll pick one winner of a $15 gift code -- the winner will be drawn from all comments left on the Stencil Sunday posts for the month, as well as from the designers' blogs.
Today, the fabulous STAMPgirl Jane has 4 awesome cards wherein she used 4 fun techniques!
Here's Jane with her projects:
Welcome to another Stencil Sunday post. It's Jane here today to share some ideas and techniques using the brilliant ARTplorations stencils.
I worked with these 4 stencils: Anchors Away, Hearts All Over, Flutterby and Bold Florals.
I worked with these 4 stencils: Anchors Away, Hearts All Over, Flutterby and Bold Florals.
As I am primarily a card maker I made all 4 of my stencilled backgrounds into cards.
First up is a nautical themed male card using Anchors Away. For this I used distress ink sprays through the stencil and achieved the background on the left. By using the remaining sprayed ink on the stencil I also got the 2nd print on the right, so a real 2 for 1 technique here. I never like wasting my inks!
I stamped the lighthouse and ship from the True North set and added a birthday sentiment from Party Time to finish my card.
I stamped Enough from the Say It Big series and the heart and patches from Romantic Expressions 1 to finish card No 2.
My 3rd stencil technique uses crackle paste through the Flutterby stencil. Once dry I added some distress ink shading.
And my fourth technique is the alcohol ink "lift off "using the Bold Florals stencil. I used the sentiment and image from Blossom Like a Butterfly to complete my final card.
If you would like more details of my stencil techniques you can find them over on my blog here.
I hope I may have inspired you to try some new techniques with these wonderfully versatile stencil designs. Have fun playing!
Thanks for stopping by.
Bye for now,
Jane
