Hello friends! Deepti here and welcome to my Spotlight feature. Today I am focusing on building a background for a focal image. I decided to do some monochromatic layered stamping to build the background. I worked with kraft card stock, you can try the same with colored card stocks. Let me show you...
Step 1 - I cut out two panels of kraft card stock. I then began to build the background by stamping the floral image. I decided to stamp the image partially not completely.
Step 2 - I then stamped the text print stamp and solid butterfly as the third layer. You don't want to complicate the background by choosing many detailed stamps.
Step 3 - I stamped the focal images cupcakes in grey ink. I then did no line pencil coloring. I also heat embossed the sentiment on the kraft panel and added some pearl white splatter.
Here is a closeup into each card...
I have used Blossom Sprays #1, Happy Everything, Mixed Media Grunge, Trendy Butterflies and Party Time.
That finishes my spotlight feature :) I hope you enjoyed it and will give this a try.
Happy paper crafting!
Sweet cards. I like the kraft background.

ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful!! I love how you created the backgrounds and while they look amazing on kraft, I think they would look equally as awesome on another colored base.
