Hi Guys! I thought I'd explore adding black marks to get some funky modern cards.
I had a spare stamped image of the flowers from Sweetly from Release Week that didn't get used.
So I watercoloured the flowers loosely with Distress Inks using an acrylic block as a palette.
Then I masked off the sides under the flowers at an angle and painted some black stripes to represent a vase or jug.
Added a sentiment up the side of the vase and called it done. Almost. Once I'd added some splatters, then it was really done ;)
My second card started with a leftover image of Layered Vase. (The images for both of today's cards were stamped in fadeout ink.) I fussy cut the image after watercolouring it.
Look at that border on the planner - that's where the inspiration for the background came from.
I stamped the card front all over with a stamp from the Art Marks 2 set, then stamped a sentiment from Layered Vase onto patterned paper and diecut it as a circle.
Cool, huh?
Here are the sets I used:
Beautiful cards.
