Happy Wednesday, STAMPlorations friends! We're just coming out of the holiday season but hey, it's never too early to start building up your stash of Christmas cards, right? Our Christmas in the Air blog feature with STAMPgirls Nancy and Monika will hopefully help you do just that -- that is, every 2nd Wednesday in March and May.
We'll also randomly draw one lucky winner of a $15 gift code from all the comments left on this post, on Nancy's post and on Monika's post. Let's have a look at their festive makes.
Time for the STAMPlorations March Christmas in the Air Projects by my Teamie Monika and I. It is never too early to start your Christmas card stash:-)
This is our 3rd Feature Project. Our last project will be the 2nd Wednesday in May.
I had fun designing a mixed media Christmas Tag for one of my Projects:-)
Here is a Close Up of the shine on the Tag!
I die cut the middle sized "Luggage Tag" out of mixed media paper.
Then used Distress Oxide inks to smoosh colors onto the tag.
Heat embossed the Typografia Christmas sentiment using DOX ink and clear EB Powder.
Next splattered the tag with white acrylic diluted paint.
I loved the shine from the heat embossing so added Versamark pigment inkto the entire tag and heat embossed with clear EB powder.
I used the wooden snowflakes from my stash and heat embossed them for more shine.
Then added the thick twine and Done!

For my 2nd project I designed a Tag Card.
A quick CAS Christmas card design:-)
Stenciled the "Dots All Over Stencil" with Nuvo Glimmer Paste and attached to card base.
Next die cut tag with "Stitched Tags Nesting Dies" and stenciled with ARTplorations "Holly Background Mini Stencil" using Zig watercolor markers.
Then placed in MISTI to stamp the sentiment from "Homespun Christmas".
Popped up tag with white craft foam and Done!
Stitched Tags Nesting Dies, Dots All Over Stencil, Holly Background Mini Stencil, Homespun Christmas
Monika and I would love to have you hop along with us.
Hugs..Nancy

Hello Crafty Friends! Welcome to March's Christmas In The Air feature.
This month I thought I'd go with Christmas Trees and stencilled backgrounds allowing the Sketchy Yule Trees to take center stage.
My first card features one of them with a starry background ...
I coloured the tree with metallic pencils, stencilled the stars and grounded my tree with my stamped sentiment. It was stamped in full to one side of the tree and just a bit of it to the other side.
You can easily do this using a stamping tool, simply by sliding your card across as shown ...
As you can see, these photos of the easy way were taken after my card was finished which means I did it the hard way. ;)
If you don't have a stamping tool, it's easy to do with a craft mat and ruler too. Simply align your card with the grid of your mat and make a faint pencil mark as your stamping guide.
Here is a close up of my first card ...

Next up is a Banksy inspired card ...
Initially I had a grungy look in mind, but going with the flow an almost CAS look suited my white embossed and messy watercoloured tree better.
Given that white embossing looks best on coloured background, I decided to colour outside the lines for maximum impact before fussy cutting my tree.
For the background I used one of Helen's new stencils called Brick Wall which is due for release next week. I sponged it with Smoked Paprika Prism ink and added my fuzzy cut tree before stamping my sentiment and finishing off with small gems.
Here is one last look ...
Hope you're having fun hopping along.
hugs
