Hi Friends! Today's project a sort of made itself. My decision to work with inks from the back of my draw and being guided by the accidents (things not turning out as intended) along the way brought about this festive tag:
I wasn't even brave enough to take photos along the way and had to recreate my steps.
My supplies were: Stitched Tags Nesting Dies, Joy To The World Clear Stickers, Layered Holly and Joy stamp sets plus Light Pink and Dark Purple Izink pigment inks (from the back of my draw), black Versafine ink, Peacock Green Prism ink, Tropicals Prima Watercolors and white watercolour for splatters, Diamond Stickles, ribbon and sequins to finish.
I started off with stamping the holly. The ink colours didn't give me enough of a contrast hence I added the outline in black Versafine.
On the original tag I hadn't inked my stamp properly and the berries outlines in the top right hand corner didn't stamp properly. Following this accident, it was time to go messy with different shades of green watercolour.
In the photo below for the recreated tag, the colours weren't as much diluted as they were when I coloured the original one. I used a clean cloth to lift some off especially over the holly leaves before adding the white splatters.
Next I stamped the words in Peacock Green. Having used lighter cardstock than in the original tag, I decided to cut another tag from plain card and attach it to the reverse to help straighten the coloured tag. It had buckled more that I had anticipated.
I finished off with a sticker sentiment edged with Stickles, ribbon and sequins.
It was quite nice to see how sometimes mistakes and accidents can lead us to beauty.
Here is What I used from the STAMPlorations Shop:
That's it from me for today. Wishing you a lovely week. Stay safe and healthy.

It's really a wonderful tag. It's one of those times that if it were not mentioned, I would never know it was a huge trial to make.
