Love Vibe Challenge with Sue

Hey, STAMPlorations friends! Our regular challenges are taking a break this month and will be back March 1. In the meantime, we've got an extra Sticker Monday post from guest designer Sue Symens that also doubles as a challenge! So you all get a chance to keep playing this month anyway :o)

We'll be drawing winners from comments left on this post and from the linky:

  • THREE (3) winners randomly drawn from all comments left on this post will each receive a $5 prize code
  • THREE (3) winners randomly drawn from the linky will each receive a $7 prize code; however, if a STAMPlorations product was used, the winner(s) will receive a $15 prize code instead.
  • ONE (1) winner randomly drawn from the linky will receive a $15 prize code; however, if the winner used a STAMPlorations product in her entry, she will receive a $25 prize code instead.

Ready? First, have a look at the cards Sue made:

Hey there. So glad to be back to share another Sticker Monday post with you! Again I have three cards to share with you today all with a Valentines vibe. I used the Rows of Hearts stencil and the Love Is clear stickers.

My first card started with a watercolor panel that I painted a heart on and then dry embossed the Rows of Hearts stencil with my Gemini Jr. I also painted a heart on a scrap of watercolor paper and placed the Love Is clear sticker over it. Then adding ribbon and some stickles to finish it off.

*****

I wanted to try the clear stickers on vellum to add a frosted element to my card. I stenciled the plum hearts over a white panel with the Rows of Hearts stencil then masked off the faux ribbon and brushed color over the panel. Attaching the vellum and faux chipboard heart to my card front. Finishing off with some Stickles pearl.

*****

My final card uses a technique I tried in December with tissue paper behind the clear Mixed Media Background 2 stickers. I just die cut the hearts from pink tissue and using a two way glue pen attached them to the panel before adding the clear sticker. I love the way they show through the sticker. The base card was also stenciled with the Rows of Hearts stencil and by cutting strips from a larger sticker I can create my own washi tape for the edge of the card.

And now it's your turn! The rules are simple:

  1. Create a love-themed project (any kind; you're not restricted to cards) inspired by Sue's cards. (And no, your project doesn't have to have stickers in it!)

  2. Only 1 entry per player but if you use a STAMPlorations product in the FIRST project you link up, you can link up a second project. If your second project has a STAMPlorations product in it, you can link up a third project. If your third project has a STAMPlorations product in it -- yep, link up a fourth project. You can link up a maximum of 7 projects as long as each project has a STAMPlorations product in it. Make sure that it's obvious that you used a STAMPlorations product. Otherwise, your project may be deleted. (Don't have a STAMPlorations product? Here's a digital set that's free until the end of the month: Love A2 Card Fronts)

  3. To qualify for the prizes, you must have a text link that links back to this post. If you are linking from your Instagram account, you need to tag @stamplorations AND use the hashtag #lovevibechallenge2021

  4. Use any product(s) you have to create your love-themed project; STAMPlorations products are not required although if you use our products, you can enter up to 7 times instead of just one time. (See rule #2)

  5. Link up by Sunday, February 28, 11:55 Pacific

WAIT! If you did not use a STAMPlorations product in your project, you are allowed only ONE entry -- your first. In order to enter up to 7 times, each of your entries must have a STAMPlorations product in it. This is described in rule #2 above. Thanks so much for adhering to the rules of this challenge.

    1. Hi, Lucy! Your second entry is fine, because your first entry had a STAMP product in it. If your second entry had a STAMP product too, you could enter a third project :o) Thanks!
