Here's Stephanie with her projects:
Greetings and happy Thursday! I am thrilled to be here today with my third and final Guest Designer post for Throwback Thursday. I have really enjoyed creating for this STAMPlorations monthly feature. Thanks so much Shery, for the wonderful opportunity!
My throwback inspiration is a gorgeous card created by former STAMPlorations design team member Cornelia Wenokor using the Lotus Love stamp set. Cornelia is one of my favorite card artists. I love her style, her sharp wit and her wonderful artistry. She makes me laugh a lot, and her work wows me every time. Thanks for your inspiration, Cornelia!
Here's how Cornelia's card inspired me:
Project #1
I used masking, ink blending, splattering and fussy cutting to create my card as Cornelia did in hers. I gave my flowers stems and placed the sentiment sideways, but I am sure you can see how Cornelia's card inspired this creation.
Project #2
For this one, I opted for a mini slimline design. I used this awesome Antartica Designer Card Stock from Clarity for the backdrop for my beautiful lotus flowers. I watercolored the flowers and stems, popped them up with foam tape and adhered a a die cut sentiment piece atop the stems.
Project #3
I used Alcohol Inks and the Lift Ink technique for this project. My background was intentionally created to look like water and sky. I lift inked the lotus flowers and fussy cut them, and I lift inked the water rings. I love the way this turned out.
I had so much fun creating with Cornelia's inspiration and this beautiful stamp set and Dragonfly layering dies. You can link to my blog to view my Throwback Thursday post HERE.
