Hi STAMPlorations Friends! Today I'm stretching my stash to making a fun pendant using heat embossing, a technique you'll be familiar with from cardmaking. Have a look.
First I gathered some supplies: a tag from the Mini Rectangle Tags pack, a stamp from the Beautiful You set, some embossing powders (Mint and Primary Marshmallow WOW powder, Gumball Green SU powder, Funstamps white poder and clear Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel) and Archival ink which I changed to Cornflower Blue after having taken the photo. Of course I used a watermark embossing pad too, an older one which I use for messy work rather than stamping.
I applied the watermark ink directly to my MDF tag and randomly sprinkled with my embossing powders before heating it with my heat tool.
I then allowed for it to cool, applied more watermark ink and added a layer of Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel. Whilst still hot I pressed the cornflower inked floral silhouette into it.
TIP!: You can use a toothpick or similar to make sure that you keep the hole in the tag.
The effect wasn't quite what I had hoped for. It needed a bit more colour. I dug out some paints and coloured the florals.
To finish I added some ribbon and a button fastening.

These are the products I used from the STAMPlorations Shop to make my cards.hugs
