First, though, I have sad news. On October 2, our very own Melissa Lane passed away. Our team is still coming to terms with this sudden loss -- Melissa was one of the most creative souls I've been so blessed to know. I also admired her strength and how she loved Jesus. We'll miss her terribly. I am already missing her. One thing about her -- she always worked ahead. In fact, she had all her design team projects for October done/uploaded, including her mixed media tutorial and she even made extra projects for the challenges. It makes it all the more bittersweet knowing after this month, we'll no longer see the results of her God-given talents. If you are so moved, please take a moment to say a prayer for her family -- that they might find comfort in their time of grief. Melissa left behind a husband and four children. We will be doing a special post in her memory and to celebrate her life this month. Melissa was known to and was friends with many crafters outside of our design team so our tribute post will be something that anyone who knew her can take part of as well. We'll have more details regarding this soon.)

- Non-STAMPlorations products in entries are OK.
- You can enter as many projects as you wish as long as they are in separate blog posts and that they are new and not created prior to the start of the current month's challenge.
- Your project photo must be posted in full in your blog post to be eligible to win and receive the corresponding prize. Please don't link up to our challenge if you're only showing a sneak peek of it (as is the case if you made it as a design team project for another company). In the same vein, please do not link up your project if it's solely to promote another company.
- You must display the challenge graphic in your post (if linking from your blog) and link back to the challenge post post (not just the main blog) in order to be eligible to win (and receive the corresponding prize).

We draw two winners every month :o) You may also want to check out our other challenges. ReplyDeleteI am so sad to hear about Melissa. I know she will be missed.
ReplyDeleteI was sadden to read this news about Melissa Lane -yet, [rejoicing in my heart only in the fact that Melissa lived a faithful Christian life on Earth- her blog shares much about her relationship with Jesus - Heaven is our eternal home] - but nevertheless - it is so hard for those left behind to go through the mourning process - even Jesus cried when Lazarus died--- I prayed for the husband, parent and children of sweet Melissa Lane. Melissa's family and friends will miss her dearly as will the crafters at STAMPlorations - Melissa was very talented and surely there were close friendships with her on this Design Team. Thank you for sharing with us this sad news. Blessing to all.
ReplyDeleteSo sad to learn

ReplyDeleteWhat a shock to hear about Melissa. I had won a Stamplorations stamp on her blog last month and she and I messaged each other the day before she passed away. She told me she would be mailing my stamp set when she went into town later that week to take her husband's 104 year old grandfather out to lunch and we marveled at his longevity. Who would guess she would go before him...so sad.
ReplyDeleteSo Sad to know about Melissa. Sending my prayers to her family.
