Hello Crafty Friends! Each year as a way of stretching my stash and myself, I try to make a Christmas card using non Christmas stamps. Today Bloom Doodles is getting the Christmas treatment, have a look and find out how you can create poinsettias using just one stamp.
The idea was to use one of the blooms for both flower and leaves. Poinsettias are perfect for this as their leaves and flowers have exactly the same shape. I gold embossed 5 flowers, coloured three of them red and two green. The latter got chopped apart for the leaves.
I die-cut a bold sentiment in black using the Merry Christmas Word Art Die, layered it on my white base card and assembled my three flowers.
I added the flowers just below and slightly overlapping the sentiment and finished my card off with some sparkly candy dots.
That was easy! What do you think of my doodled poinsettias?
That's it from me for today. If you feel like making poinsettias or a project using any of the techniques or ideas shared by my teamies in their Spotlight Posts, make sure to link up your makes with our spotlight project gallery here.
Have a lovely day!
