Our guest designer Stephanie Severin is back, and this time she’s putting the spotlight on one of our absolute favorite "mix-and-match" staples: the Framed Flowers Colorables. π¨π️
If you love the look of vintage textures paired with crisp botanical illustrations, these are about to become your new best friend. Stephanie has perfectly captured how these small-but-mighty elements can transform a card from "nice" to "wow!" π€©
Meet Framed Flowers Colorables πΌ️πΏ
Before we dive into Stephanie's stunning cards, let’s talk about why these colorables are a must-have for your stash:
Plenty to Play With: Every pack contains 16 pieces (8 unique designs, 2 of each).
The Perfect Size: Each individual framed flower is 2” x 3”, making them ideal focal points for A2 cards or layers for ATCs.
Professional Quality: Printed on premium 120# (325 gsm) matte cardstock—it’s thick, sturdy, and handles your favorite coloring mediums like a dream.
Design Details: Each floral image is beautifully framed and set against a vintage-style text background for an instant mixed-media vibe.
Card #1: Sunshine & Strength ☀️πͺ
Stephanie’s first card is a masterclass in using color to create a mood.
The Focal Point: She chose the Framed Flowers colorable with the delicate trio of blossoms, coloring the petals in a bright lime-yellow to pop against the vintage text.
The Backdrop: She layered the colorable over a soft, multi-colored watercolor background from the Quick Card Fronts #3 - Spring Blooms set.
The Sentiment: Finished with a touching phrase from the Strong Women stamp set: "what I am, you helped me to be". π
Stephanie’s Inspiration: Royal Blooms & Encouragement ππ
For her second card, Stephanie leans into rich, regal tones.
The Focal Point: This Framed Flowers colorable features lush blossoms colored to coordinate with the deep blues and purples in the background.
The Layers: She placed the colorable on a background from the Spring Blooms card fronts, then added a die-cut circle for her sentiment.
The Sentiment: Using the Strong Women stamp set again, she chose a message everyone needs to hear: "sometimes I don't think you know how ridiculously Amazing you are". π
