I came across a fun technique in blogland and I thought I would share it on today's spotlight project. It's called highlighting resist.
STEP 1
STEP 2
Using a jumbo dauber, sponge on pink ink. [I used Distress Worn Lipstick.]
STEP 3
Now comes the highlighting part. Using a darker ink [I used Distress Festive Berries], sponge only the actual poinsettia. Using a paper towel, wipe off any excess ink from the embossed portion of the flower.
STEP 4
To finish off card, cut panel to the size you want, stamp the sentiment and adhere to a card base.
Along with being a really pretty card, it is totally flat for easy mailing at a regular price. Try this for yourself. You can also use different colors: yellow and orange, green and blue...the potential is unlimited!
See you in a couple of weeks!
