{Spotlight Project} Maria Creates A Victorian Vibe With Doodles

Hello there STAMP friends!  I've got a Spotlight tutorial for a super easy card using the Stamp Club stamp, Bloomful.  Today I'm looking at one single image and the vibe I got from it. Here's what I created. Loving all that white space.

STEP 1

Gathered my supplies - MISTI, Memento black ink, Bloomful stamp set, alcohol markers (these are twinmarkers from my Action dollar store) and a Neenah white panel.

STEP 2

Now something about that one flower image with the lovely leaves and flourishes really attracted my attention. And reminded me of Victorian graphics - flowery, symmetric, flourish-y. You know! So I chose the sentiment with the most Victorian vibe and centered it. Picked it up with the MISTI door, inked and stamped it.

STEP 3

Then I lined up the flower image above the sentiment and stamped it.

I colored the flower with three coral/pink tones and the leaves with two greens. Then I stamped the black outline again to get it nice and crisp.

STEP 5

Now maybe I could have simply rotated my panel to stamp the bottom flower, but I don't think spatially like that :( I took the stamp off the MISTI door and placed it where I wanted it on the bottom of the panel, measured that it was 2 cm from the sentiment like the top one and stamped it again. Colored it the same way.

That's all folks! Super easy. The bright colors make the card, I think. I'd considered using blues and grays, but decided the positive colors supported the message better. I adhered the panel to a top-folding cardbase and just love looking at all that gorgeous white space ;)
