Here's a more detailed look at Jane's and Tanja's projects:
JANE'S THINGS WITH WINGS
Hello STAMP friends, it's Jane here again. Unbelievable this is my 4th and final installment of my Things with Wings "specials". For my final projects I made 2 spring themed cards. One with a very mixed media background, the other with a simple distress ink blended one.
For my first project I made a spring time bird card. I used the Some Birds stencil on an ink sprayed piece of watercolour card to make my background using gold embossing paste.
I then added some layered die cuts using For the Birds and Make a Wish
Here is my card:
***
For my 2nd card I went for a more simple background. I stamped my design in black and clear embossed using the Bliss sentiment stamp and the dragonflies from Winged Things. I then blended my distress background.
I added a few final touches to make this card:
If you would like to see more step by step details and some close up photos please visit my blog, Jane's Journal. I have really enjoyed making all my projects for my Things with Wings specials and I really hope you may have gained some inspiration from them too.
Take care!
Bye for now,
Jane x

TANJA'S THINGS WITH WINGS
Hi there, it's Tanja here and this is my fourth Things with Wings Special Feature Project Post for STAMPlorations:
- stamp one of the butterflies from the Grateful Flutters set with Lawn Fawn River Rock onto a piece of Strathmore toned grey cardstock
- color the image with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers and add extra shading with Faber -Castell Polychromos pencils
- stamp the sentiment from the same set with that same grey ink
- stamp the dot pattern from the Mixed Media Grunge set with Versamark and heat-emboss it with WOW! Midas Touch embossing powder
- add shading around the edges of the panel with Distress Oxide Ink Pumice Stone
- add two strips of foiled cardstock to the left and the right of the panel before adhering it to a cardbase
- create a background on an old gel print using white gesso, tissue paper, gel medium and Alcohol Ink (Mushroom, Gunmetal)
- apply Grit Paste through the Make Marks 5 stencil and let this dry thoroughly
- cut out the birds from the For the Birds die set from woodgrain paper and shade the edges with Distress Ink Ground Espresso
- dye a piece of cheesecloth with Distress Oxide Spray Spun Sugar
- add some splatters with Distress Spray Stain Tarnished Brass
- use a sticker from the Hey Sunshine set as the sentiment
I hope you got inspired.
Hugs,
*****
