{Throwback Thursday} Jessica Embosses with Dies and Stencils

Hey, STAMPlorations friends! Welcome to Throwback Thursday! On the last Thursday of the month during our summer break (July to September), we have a guest designer sharing projects inspired by a previous STAMPlorations project...either one she made or was made by another STAMPgirl. And every month, we'll draw one lucky crafter to win a $15 gift code -- randomly drawn from all comments left on the Throwback Thursday post for the month, as well as from the featured designer's blog. (ETA: Jessica has let me know that she is moving her blog to a new one and the new blog is still under construction.)

Today STAMPgirl Jessica shares her creative takes inspired by one of the cards she made.

Have a look at Jessica's projects:

Hi everyone! Jessica here, and welcome back to another Throwback Thursday feature. For this week, I thought I would revisit the idea of creating fun backgrounds with stencils and dies.

The Throwback Card

This is a card I made a long, long time ago. For the background, I used the forever die repetitively to cover the entire background. It's definitely an easy and fun way to add interest and texture.

For the first two cards, I decided to emboss with some dies. The card on the left used several word dies: charming, gorgeous, amazing, and wonderful. To finish off the sentiment, I stamped "you" from the I Love You Typografia stamp. For the card on the right, I embossed with the Bloomtangled #1 Cover Plate die, and ink blended the panel partially.

For the last card, I decided to emboss with a stencil! The one I used is Rows of Hearts. The sentiment is Typografia stamp, My Heart.

Beautiful cards, right? For a chance to win a $15 gift code to the STAMPlorations store, leave a comment here by September 8. We'll announce the winner in the August winners post on September 10.

  1. These are such creative cards!
Thanks for reminding me that stencils
and dies can be used to dry emboss.
I see other people do it, but forget to try it ☺️
