{Mixed Media Tutorial} Melissa Makes a Hopeful Sign

Hi! It’s Melissa here with a fun mixed media tutorial to share with you today. I have a "Sign of Hope" to share with you. I hope you enjoy seeing the process I used to create it.

January Challenge Mid-Month Reminder - More Inspiration

Hey everyone! Have you played in the January Challenge yet? Create a project based on the theme, sketch, or both, and link it up!

Our theme is STAMPS & MIXED MEDIA. For this challenge, our definition of mixed media is using stamps and inks + 2 other elements (techniques and/or other products).

If you end up with a mixed media card that's also clean and simple, make sure to link it up to the January CAS Card ChallengeIf your card has diecuts, has a STAMPlorations product, and was inspired by the photo here, link it up in the January CUTplorations Challenge gallery. If you end up creating a non-card mixed media project and you used a stencil, link it up to our January Mixed Media ChallengeAnd lastly, if your card has STAMPlorations products (stamps, stencils, and/or dies) as the main attraction, link it up to our Never-Ending Anything Goes Challenge. Yep, more chances for prizes we have up for grabs :o)

And here's our fun sketch to get inspired by as well:

{Spotlight Project} Create Custom Party Bulletin Boards with Deepti!

Hello, friends! Deepti here and welcome to another spotlight feature. I don't really have a tutorial for you today but I have some fun party ideas for you. My son Siddharth will soon be turning one... Yay! I know time really flies :) We have his First Birthday Party planned for the end of this month. I have chosen the theme "Winter ONEderland" and being a crafter I had to do all the decorations by myself hahaha.

I will have a few tables set up and I will be putting up some Bulletin Board kind of thing on each table. I have used an 8"X10" Black cardstock that will fit perfectly in the frames. So let me show you the frames...

January CAS Card Challenge Reminder

Hey, STAMPlorations friends! Here's to remind you that this month's CAS Card Challenge is in full swing. It's anything CAS goes with silver or gray as the optional color twist. And if you were inspired by our sketch and/or theme this month, make sure you link up your creation to to our January Monthly Theme and/or Sketch Challenge as well. If your card has diecuts, has a STAMPlorations product, and was inspired by the photo here, link it up in the January CUTplorations Challenge gallery. And lastly, if your card has STAMPlorations products (stamps, stencils, and/or dies) as the main attraction, link it up to our Never-Ending Anything Goes Challenge. Yep, more chances for prizes we have up for grabs :o)

The STAMPlorations girls are back with cards to inspire you. Check them out and we hope you'll come play!

{Spotlight Project} Shirley Makes a Custom Phone Cover

I treated myself to a new phone (I was well overdue for one!!), and I bought a clear cover so that I could customise it with my own artwork using this great new stamp club set, Scribbly Splattery Grunge. Look at all those fabulous elements!

I got the idea after seeing a quick video on Facebook with glitter paper but I thought it would be nice to use my original artwork.

{Spotlight Project} Becca Creates a Focal Center Image

Today, I'm going to give you a true insight into my creative process. I wish I was one of those crafters who had a clear vision of a design and then just stamp, bamp thank you ma'am - a card of extraodinary loveliness appeared.

In all actuality, my card rarely turn out just how I want them.

Case in point: This card.

{Inspiration Project Post #115}

Hello STAMPlorations Friends! It's Tuesday, and the girls from the Inspiration team have been busy preparing projects for you.

Since the beginning of this year, things have been mixed up a little. Each week, we'll be showcasing stamps from one designer and all of her stamps will be on sale for one week -- no coupon needed; the discount is automatically applied. And if you happen to have a coupon code, such as a personal discount code for being a stamp club subscriber, you can use the code to get an even better deal.

This week, the Inspiration team is showcasing stamps designed by our very own Deepti for her line, Dee's Artsy Impressions. All of her stamps, except for one, are 10% off until January 23. The Kathryn And Christmas stamp set is 20% off.

We'll still randomly draw a winner from all the comments left on our Inspiration Posts, so have a look and leave a comment for your entry to win a $10 gift certificate to the store.

CUTplorations January - Reminder

Have you joined us yet for this month's CUTplorations challenge? It's the perfect time to use die cuts to create a party on a card (or tag or layout or ATC or, or, or). Here's the inspiration.

Here's a bit more inspiration for you. A wonderful design from Monika for an anniversary card. A home decor project from Shirley. And a birthday card from me using some coming-soon-to-the-store product you're gonna love.

using Numbers die and Becca's new stamp set - both coming soon

There's one more card over at Deepti's blog which showcases a great way to use black and gold. Although she didn't use die cuts, take a look at this design. It's certainly die cut friendly.

Here's the link to the January challenge. Can't wait to see what you'll make!

{Mixed Media Tutorial} Amy's Fun Smooshing Bookmark

Good afternoon crafty friends, Amy here with a fun little bookmark using the smooshing technique. I'm an avid reader and tend to wear out my bookmark and tags, so I decided to make a fun lil' bookmark that I could laminate and it will hold up better in my book travels. ;o)

I hope you'll follow along and enjoy the process...the smooshing is a lot of fun and super easy!
