{Mixed Media Tutorial} Art Journal Page by Susanne

Hi my dear mixed media friends. It's Susanne writing today and I'm sharing a step by step Art Journal spread today.

Start with a double sided acrylic background:

Use metallic paint together with three different stencils(Nestled CirclesPebble WavesStained Glass ):

Draw a frame with a Neocolor II crayon and blend it with water:

Add more texture with the "Delicate Links", the "Tribal Weave" and acrylic paint:

Draw a branch with a water-soluble pencil, blend it with water:

Add flowers with gesso and the "Bloom Factory" stencil:

Paint the flowers with watercolor pencils and blend them with water:

Use a black and white uniPOSCA marker to add a border and center to the flowers:

I used the DCWV Birds & Butterflies stack to cut out my main images. Adhere the images and draw a black frame with watercolor pencils to make them pop.

Finally add some stamping around the edges of the page and a sentiment:

Thank you for stopping by today,
xx Susanne.
