{Spotlight Project} Maria Rainbows a Twiggy Wreath

Hi STAMPlorations friends! Did you catch my last spotlight post? I mentioned I'm really enjoying the punch that rainbows pack lately. In today's post I'm keeping it rainbow. And CAS.

STEP 1
Gathered my supplies - Fluttery stamp set and dies, Vignette: Celebrate Artsy, cardbase and distress inks.

STEP 2
Used a circle die to pencil a guideline to use when stamping my wreath. If you see the line when you're done stamping you can erase it easily.

STEP 3
Using a stroke stamp, I first stamped the Picked Raspberry "twigs" and then across the circle from them, the Mowed Lawn. Then I proceeded to fill in the other ROYGBIV twigs.

STEP 4
I went back with the longer stroke stamp from the set, curved it a bit on the acrylic block and added one wispy twig to each color area. Then I sprayed the entire thing with Perfect Pearls water mixture. Besides adding shimmer, this also softens those stamped images a bit.

STEP 4
I wasn't sure if I wanted white heat embossed butterflies on white CS or on vellum, so I created both. I didn't want to squish the heat embossing when die cutting the butterflies, so I die cut them first. Used my MISTI and the die cut negative piece as a holder for the pieces when I stamped them with Versamark.

I actually opted for the vellum butterflies and adhered them with Multi Medium Matte only under their bodies. I like the dimension added by their wings lifting off the card. Added a sentiment stamped in the middle of the wreath. Some sequins finished off my card (and covered two little ink smudges ;)
