{Spotlight Project} Shirley Creates Succulents With Bloomdala Bliss

Hello peeps!  I've been playing with the brand new Bloomdala Bliss Stamp Club set, and two of the images reminded me of succulents, so that's what I made!

I started off by scoring a piece of card every half inch on my scoreboard, and stamping the images on the MISTI.

I smooshed Distress Inkpads over the scored card to create a weatherboard effect that would be my window box or trough.  The colours look quite intense but they lighten when they dry.

Then I set to colouring the 'succulents' using Distress Inks as watercolours.

I trimmed the weatherboard to size, fussy cut the succulents and then arranged them on my card, adding a sentiment from the set.

I had just the prop for staging my photo ;)

Check out the Spring Fling section in the store where selected items are 25% off - if you use my code STAMPGIRLSHIRLEY you'll get another 20% off - that's 45% discount!

And don't forget to comment on the Spring Fling posts for your chance to win prizes.
