November Challenge: Stamps & Layers

Welcome to the November challenge! We’d love it if you’ll join us for the entire month! Each month we have a theme, and for November, our theme is STAMPS & LAYERSYou can use stamps by other companies to create projects that you enter to our challenges but please do not use our challenges for the sole purpose of promoting another stamp company. If you have our stamps in your stash, we'd be tickled if you use them -- and we've tweaked the prize a bit to encourage you to use our stamps if you have them!

Put your own spin on this month's theme -- as long as you use stamps in your project(s) (as opposed to projects without stamping whatsoever) and your project has layers (whether it's just two or lots!), we'd love to see them!

PRIZE
The winner (as voted by the design team) receives 2 stamp sets (3" by 5" / $14 value) of her choice if her project has STAMPlorations stamps in it. If there is no STAMPlorations stamp in the winning entry, the winner receives 1 stamp set of her choice. The other stamp set will go to a participant who used STAMPlorations stamps in her project. The winner also gets to be a guest designer in our next monthly challenge. (Visit the shop to see the available stamp sets.)

A TWIST IN OUR CHALLENGES
Normally, we want you to participate in all 3 challenges we host during a given month for a chance to win a prize. However, because the holidays are upon us, we simply would like you to play at least once in any of our challenges this month, although we won't mind if you played in all challenges! One lucky player will win 3 digi stamps from our soon-to-launch digi stamps section on the STAMPlorations shop. Hmm, could there be a digi stamp design team call on the horizon? You'll have to keep your eyes peeled for this one!

INSPIRATION PROJECTS
Our guest designer this month is Lee-Anne Cross who won the September Challenge with her gorgeous watercolor card. We're excited to have Lee-Anne guest designing with us! The card she created featuring stamps in the Oh, Christmas Tree! set is simply stunning! Please stop by her blog to give her some love!

Guest Designer
“I’ve been married to my wonderful husband, Bryan, for 39 years. He is so supportive of my stamping and a major enabler (thank heavens!). We have one awesome son, Geoff, who’s a computer guru. I rely on him a lot for keeping my computer system in tip top shape! And, we have a beautiful Border Collie, named Kizzy, who is my constant companion. We make Regina, Saskatchewan our home. The stamping bug bit me about 30 years ago (yes I know...that’s a long time ago...gasp!). A family friend owned a commercial stamp business and started carrying some basic stamping supplies. He provided a demo on heat embossing and I was hooked! I continually experiment with different types of designs and products and love to design CAS designs. However, there are lots of other styles I dabble in. Thanks so much, Shery and the rest of the DT, for this awesome opportunity! I am so honored.”

And here are the projects that the STAMPlorations girls created. Clicking on our names will take you to our personal blogs where you can read more about how we created our projects. We hope they'll inspire you and we're excited to see what you create!

READY TO PLAY?
  • Create a card, tag, mini album/scrapbook cover, layout, home decor item, or any paper craft that features STAMPS & LAYERS. Any style is welcome — CAS, shabby chic, vintage, grunge, and so on. Post your creation on your blog and submit it by 11:55 p.m. PST on Sunday, November 30. Don’t have a blog? You can post a photo of your project on your Pinterest page, Flickr, or any public online gallery. (Please note: If the theme isn't obvious in your submission, we reserve the right to remove your entry.)
  • You must use stamps (rubber, cling, clear, digi — from any company) in your creation(s).You do not need to use STAMPlorations stamps to enter this challenge, but please keep this one important rule in mind: if you are on the design team of another stamp company, please don't use our challenges to link up projects that you make for the sole purpose of promoting or advertising your company. You are welcome to play as long as your project/post is not solely promotional in nature. If you are on the DT of a regular challenge blog (not affiliated with a stamp company), please feel free to link up your projects, including those where you use images provided by whoever is sponsoring your current challenge, if they fit our challenge.
  • Copy the link of your blog entry where you have your project posted and enter it to the linky found at the end of this post. Remember to link directly to your blog post, not just your blog URL. (This will make it easy for us to find your submission and leave a comment. Please turn off word verification as well.)
  • Include a text link back to this challenge post in your blog post and encourage other paper crafters to participate. Entries not linking back to our challenge will be deleted.
  • You can submit a maximum of 3 entries for this challenge.
  • You can submit your creation(s) to other challenges — as many as you want.
  • Be a follower of our blog to qualify for the prize.
  • And lastly, have a great time creating your project!
We'll announce the winner and top picks on Thursday, December 4, here on the STAMPlorations™ blog and on the All About Scrapping page on Facebook. That’s it…we look forward to seeing what you create!

Spammers have been in full force lately so I had to turn comment moderation on. We love hearing from fellow crafters (not spammers), so your comment will be approved as soon as possible. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts with us :o)
