{Spotlight Project} Cornelia Spritzes Alcohol Inks

Hi, Cornelia here today sharing a fun technique that I came up with - alcohol ink spritzing! It's easy and fun and I'll tell you all the tricks I learned.

My supplies:
  • glossy paper
  • stamps (I used Artful Flutters and Blossom Overture)
  • inks (both Memento and Staz-on work just fine)
  • alcohol inks
  • a syringe with a fine needle
  • Q-tip and rubbing alcohol (optional)
I stamped the butterflies on glossy paper.

Sucked up some alcohol ink into the syringe and squirted it back into the bottle. With the tiny bit of ink left in there, I squirted onto the paper.

Repeated it with various colors

Some more colors....

And lastly I added the sentiment and a few sequins, adhered a black strip of paper on the side, and rounded the bottom corners.

The tricks:
  • Start with the lightest color first!!!! Then you don't need to clean the syringe.
  • Would be great to have a different syringe for every color - I had only one at home.
  • Make sure you squirt all the ink back into the alcohol ink bottle before you spray onto your card - you get big blobs if there is too much ink left.

Now is that fun or what? Perhaps you'll give it a try!
