Hello STAMPlorations Friends! It's Monika back again with a little spotlight project. As we're heading towards a very busy time of year, I thought I'd share with you a card which can easily be stamped again and again and again. It's perfect for little gift sets and for those occasions when you require a quick card. Here it is:
First I cut a piece of card matching the size of my folded base card and die-cut a frame using the large label die from the
Succulently Dies to create my stencil. Having the stencil the same size as my card front makes it easier to align the same way for multiple cards.
I attached my stencil into place and added a little die-cut circle as shown.
Next I simply sponged with Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo.
I then picked up two of the smaller dies from the
Bloom Doodles set, combined them with the birds from
New Beginning and the sentiment from
Noteworthy 4 and stamped them in Elegant Eggplant.
Here is a close-up look of my inking and stamping. I decided to keep it to one layer and without embellishments to help the detail in the stamps stand out.
TIP!: Don't have the time to finish all the cards in one go? Simply stamp yourself a template. It will help with aligning the stamps for future makes. Simply place the stamps an the stamped images, pick them up with the lid of your stamping tool and off you go.
As you can see, changing the sentiment changes the feel of the card even when the rest stays the same.
That's it from me for today. If you feel like working with a sponged background or a project using any of the techniques or ideas shared by my teamies in their
Spotlight Posts, make sure to link up your makes with our spotlight project gallery
here.
I leave you with a last look at my finished card with its matching envelope.
Have a lovely day!
hugs
