{Spotlight Project} Stencils And Sentiments With Deepti

Hello friends! Deepti here and welcome to my Spotlight feature. I decided to make birthday cards to celebrate STAMPlorations birthday month :) I am in love with skinny sentiment dies and they gave me the idea to use sentiment dies in three ways and to make the sentiments shine I decided to use stenciled backgrounds. Let me show you...

So in these I used the sentiments the traditional way by layering, then I used the negative and finally I just used the skinny dies and not the layering part.

Step 1 - I decided to use a combination of bright Distress inks to make my backgrounds. it involved simple ink blending :)

Step 2 - I then took three intricate stencils for my ghosting technique. I used a mini mister to spray water on the stencil and laid it on the inked panel.

Step 3 - Here I die cut the sentiments using black and white card stock and adhered those on the panels. I also decided to add some heat embossed sentiment strips :)

I could have finished my cards here but then I decided to add shaker elements :)

Step 4 - I used the dies to cut out the balloon frames and foam sheet for the dimension :) I used the solid dies to cut out the acetate sheet. I decided to lay these overlapping the sentiments.

I simply put a little bit of shaker blend on the card front and attached the die cut shaker piece on top.
Here is a closeup into each card...

I have used All BloomsStained Glass and Weaving stencils,

and Little Love Birthday Wishes for sentiment strips.

I have used the following shaker blends White FrostBubble Gum Pink and Sunshine Yellow

That finishes my spotlight feature :) I hope you enjoyed it and will give this a try.
