Guten Tag! Happy to be sharing some projects with you that I made using the fabulous Joyful stamp set.
I must admit I was a little intimidated by the sleigh image. You've seen my fellow teamies here on the blog create striking cards using a colored sleigh. I'm not a colorer! What to do?
Well, I'm a vellum lover and vellum and heat embossing came to my rescue. Here's my card.
On my card base I masked a snow hill and created an ombre Distress Ink sky. Onto that I heat embossed a few snowflakes. Then I heat embossed the sleigh and sentiment (I just love all those words in old typewriter font) in white onto vellum. I stitched the vellum to the card and voila!
Two things I like about this card? The light and airy feel of the floating vellum. And I didn't have to create a realistic scene for the sleigh since the card merely suggests the idea of a sleigh ride in the snow. No coloring involved ;)
I did actually do a bit of coloring on my second project, using the shadows on the image as a guide. Can you guess my inspiration? Hint: I like Audrey Hepburn.
I've never received a box from Tiffany's, but I would imagine it would be kinda fun! Especially under the mistletoe. I spritzed the card base with Heidi Swapp gold color shine, stamped the sentiment one word per row onto a CS strip which I then adhered. I stamped and colored the gift with a Tumbled Glass Distress marker and fussy cut it. Then I stamped the ornaments again, sponged them with gold Delicata ink, fussy cut them and adhered with dimension. The close-up gives you a better idea of the shimmer on the card.
If you're interested, I created a few more cards with the Joyful set which you can see on my blog.

The vellum gives your card a soft feel. Love how the blue meets the white. It looks like a good snowy day here in Wisconsin!!
